Ingredients checklist

Use our checklist to tick off each ingredient in preparation for cooking.

50g Oat Pantry Salted Caramel Porridge Oats

1 mashed banana

1 heaped teaspoon dark chocolate drops

2 tsp peanut butter

1 tbsp maple syrup

1/3 tsp baking powder

70ml milk of your choice

8 medjool dates, pitted

60ml milk of choice

2 tbsp smooth peanut butter

2 tbsp maple syrup

1⁄2 tsp salt

Method 1 - Mug Cake

Firstly, blend the 50g of Oat Pantry Salted Caramel Porridge, until you achieve a flour consistency.

In your mug combine the mashed banana, Oat Pantry Salted Caramel Porridge Oats flour, maple syrup, peanut butter, baking powder and dark chocolate drops. Give it a mix.

Pour in your milk and mix until well combined.

Microwave on high for 1-2 mins, we recommend doing this in 30 second intervals. If the cake looks like it’s going to overflow when cooking, stop the microwave and restart until it’s completely cooked. You may find you need to stop and start quite a bit (unless you have a large mug to make this in), you’ll just need to keep a close eye on it.

Serve with a date caramel topping (follow the separate recipe for this), some fresh sliced banana and a sprinkle of chopped nuts. And enjoy!

Method 2 - Date Caramel Topping

01.

In a high-speed blender, combine all of the ingredients for the sauce. Blend until smooth or as smooth as you can get it. Add a little more milk if it looks too thick.
