30g Oat Pantry Mince Pie Porridge Oats
1 tbsp nut butter
1/2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp ground almonds
3 tbsp stewed apple
Method 1 - Crumble Mixture
First, microwave the stewed apple in a microwave safe dish for 1 minute.
Next, in a separate bowl, mix together the topping ingredients: porridge oats, nut butter, maple syrup and ground almonds. Combine until you get a crumble like texture.
Add the crumble topping on top of the heated stewed apple and microwave for a further 1 minute. If you’re using a small bowl, microwave the last minute in 20 second increments so it doesn’t overflow.
Method 2 - Stewed Apple
- 1 kg cooking apples
- 90g caster sugar or sugar of your choosing
- 500ml water
- pinch ground cinnamon, optional
Peel the apples then slice in to pieces.
Place the chopped apples into a large saucepan with the sugar, water and cinnamon, if using.
Bring to the boil then reduce the heat to a medium heat and simmer gently for 7-10 minutes until the apples are tender and are starting to break down.
Keep in the fridge for up to 3 days. Can freeze for up to 6 months.
